Reducing impact through Responsible Decisions
As a national leader in event hire and infrastructure, we are deeply aware of the environmental footprint our industry can leave behind. That’s why responsible business practices are not a choice for us, they’re an operational imperative. Our sustainability promise is not just about meeting industry expectations, but about building long-term, scalable solutions that minimise waste, extend product lifespans, and promote transparency across our supply chain. Every decision we make, from the materials we use to how we move stock, is grounded in the belief that better business can also be better for the planet.
Driven by our passionate Moreton Hire team, every day we are making conscious steps to create less harm and more positive environmental impact for generations to come.

ETHICAL SOURCING
Our furniture is selected for quality and longevity rather than short-term trends, with many pieces designed to perform for up to 25 years. Where possible, we prioritise Australian-made products or invest in high-quality design and manufacturing to ensure durability, comfort and lasting value. As we evolve our product range, we are increasing the use of materials and components that support responsible production and reduced environmental impact, including:
- FSC-certified timber
- Recycled steel and aluminium
- RPET textiles made from plastic waste
- Low-emission coatings and adhesives
- Ocean plastic fabrics, PVC-free substrates, and paper-based boards like DISPA
- Disassembly, recyclability, and traceable sourcing are key benchmarks in every procurement decision.

CIRCULAR HIRE MODEL
Hire is inherently circular. Every item in the Moreton Hire range is carefully selected, maintained and redeployed across hundreds of projects throughout its lifecycle. By prioritising reuse, durability and long service life, we significantly reduce the reliance on single-use materials while helping organisers deliver high-quality event environments with a lower environmental footprint.
Through ongoing maintenance, refurbishment and responsible asset management, our products remain in circulation for many years, supporting a more sustainable approach to temporary infrastructure and event delivery.
SUPPLIER CERTIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS
We work closely with a trusted network of suppliers who share our commitment to quality, safety and responsible manufacturing. All suppliers are assessed against clear procurement guidelines covering product quality, durability, ethical sourcing and environmental responsibility. Where relevant, we prioritise suppliers who operate under recognised international standards such as ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), and ISO 20121 (Event Sustainability Management).
This approach helps ensure the products and materials we introduce into our hire fleet are responsibly produced and aligned with the long-term values of our business.

CUSTOM BUILT FOR RE-USE & REPURPOSE
When custom built items reach the end of their intended use, we prioritise refurbishment, donation or auction rather than disposal. Repurposing is embedded in our operations, with examples like turning old marquee vinyl into protective stillage covers. We also maintain an in-house reupholstery and repair team dedicated to extending the life of our core furniture products, aligning with our zero waste to landfill principles and life cycle guarantee approach.
SUPPLY CHAIN TRANSPARENCY
We partner with suppliers who share our commitment to responsible manufacturing, ethical labour standards and sustainable resource use. Wherever possible, we work with manufacturers who operate under recognised international frameworks such as FSC®, ISO 14001 and OEKO-TEX®, ensuring strong environmental and production standards across our supply chain.
From marquee structures designed with energy-efficient engineering to furniture, flooring and signage manufactured using recycled and recyclable materials, we prioritise partners who demonstrate innovation alongside strong environmental and social governance. These long-term relationships support transparency, traceability and accountability throughout our procurement and supply chain operations.
